Day Habilitation services are habilitation services that are provided to an individual regardless of his or her living environment and traditionally take place in a certified setting. Day Habilitation services can assist individuals to acquire, retain and improve their self-help, socialization and adaptive skills, including communication, travel and other areas in adult education.
Activities and environments are designed to foster skill growth, promote effective interactions and increased independence. Nearly 200 acres accompany our Group Day Habilitation program allowing us to provide unique, rural and experiential opportunities.
Additionally, individuals accessing Group Day Habilitation work alongside staff to develop the fundamental employment skills necessary to participate in our on-site, Transitions program.
Some Group Day Habilitation activities include: volunteer opportunities, 4H curriculum and agricultural science, music therapy, fitness activities, cultural trips, cooking skills, horticulture, computers and technology, scrapbooking and Heritage Farm archives, skill streaming, Exceptional Arts & Unique Magazine, social story teaching and animal therapy.
